But where does this name, Bonfarto, come from?

The history of the name Bonfarto Locations

We are often asked:
"But where does this name come from, Bonfarto?"

At that moment, I smile, I think... and I tell.
I usually try to summarize, even though the story begins long before Bonfarto Locations was created.

Here too, I'll keep it short 😊

We were in the middle of launching our vacation rental business. And, for some reason we've since forgotten, we only had 24 hours to come up with a name.
A little panic… a lot of pressure!

We looked at each other, a little perplexed.
A name is more than just a word: it's a business card, a first impression, a reflection of an intention.

So we put our ideas on the table.

Marc had a preference for a Latin name, an expression with meaning.
I (Denise) was looking for something more spiritual, perhaps inspired by a Greek goddess.
I was searching the web… but the more I searched, the less inspired I was.

I came,
I saw,
and I left again...
Brief.

But what were we really looking for?
What message did we want to convey?
A name was needed:
– Easy to pronounce in several languages
– Easy to write (without having to spell it ten times)
– And above all – this was my priority – it had to evoke well-being, reconnection, gratitude.

Nothing suited us. Even the goddesses didn't give me the answer 😉

But in a moment of almost meditative calm, I had a flash.

What if… the name came from Esperanto ?
One word:
✔️ International
✔️ Pronounceable everywhere
✔️ Who invites to Be
✔️ And above all… unique on Google!

And that's how the name BONFARTO came to us.

✔️ And almost unique!
